Chateau Roux is a boutique Fashion label based in the heart of Carnaby Street in London. 3seven9 were asked to replace an aging flash based e-Commerce site with a new platform.
The Challenge
Their existing Ecommerce platform was based completely within Flash environment, with no HTML only version. This resulted in a number of usability, accessibility and SEO restrictions that were impacting the growth of the company’s customer base.
There were also regular problems with payment gateway that meant the owners were having to manually resolve lost payments with their bank on a daily basis.
Chateau Roux also wanted to start a social media engagement strategy and there was no flexibility in the platform to allow the integration of a blog or twitter and facebook channels.
Our Solution
We recommended that Chateau Roux redevelopment their website on the community Edition of the Magento Ecommerce platform. This solution enabled them to create an optimised shopping site that allowed the customisation of the page template and catalogue structure to suit their business. We integrated the site with the a bespoke payment gateway plugin allowing them to provide a seamless and secure transaction system. This ensured the payment process was streamlined and painless, aimed at minimising the number of abandoned baskets and most importantly, stopped the lost payments problem which was their primary objective.
We then provided a custom integration with a Drupal platform to handle the publishing of Blogs and the management of their bespoke customer gallery; You in Roux.
The Results
The new site has resulted in a increase in the average basket value by 20%, resolved the lost payment details, and improved the brand engagement via their social media strategy. The Search engine ranking has improved on the site for brand and product specific searches, whilst users on non-flash enabled browsers can access the site.
